Mule [[client]]s are those [[P2P]] [[client]]s which connect exclusively to the [[FAQ_eD2k-Kademlia#What_is_ED2K?|ED2K]] network (and possibly to the [[FAQ_eD2k-Kademlia#What_is_Kademlia?|Kademlia]] network).

It can be understood more easily as "those [[client]]s which pretend to be clones of the [[eMule]] [[client]]" allthough they might extend it's features and lack others.

Usually this [[client]]s have names such as [[eMule]], [[aMule]], [[xMule]], [[lMule]], [[jMule]], etc (that's why they are also popularily known as *Mule [[client]]s), but some have very different names such as [[lphant]].
